6. Import & Export
Back up and restore your planner data from Settings.
Export — Downloads a .json backup file containing all your tasks, yearly items, notes, and completions. Save this file somewhere safe.
Import → Merge — Keeps your current planner data and adds the imported data on top. Good for combining backups.
Import → Replace — Removes current data entirely and replaces it with the backup file. Cannot be undone without another export.
Always export a backup before using Replace.
7. Offline & PWA Install
The Ritzi Planner works fully offline once loaded and can be installed as a home screen app.
Install on iPhone — Open in Safari → tap the Share icon → tap Add to Home Screen.
Install on Android — Open in Chrome → tap the three-dot menu → tap Add to Home Screen or Install App.
Data storage — All data saves locally on your device. It does not sync between devices automatically.
Changing devices — Always export a backup on your old device before switching. Import the backup on your new device.
Tip: Export a backup every Friday as part of your weekly wind-down.
